Sekumpul Waterfall Hiking Itinerary

06.00 am – Pick up from your hotel and drive to northern Bali

08.30 to 09.00 am – We arrive at trekking start point, meet your hiking guide, safety briefing before start and start the hiking – your journey begins in the village of Sekumpul. Will passed through several local Balinese houses, and you will see so many fruit trees around the village, Hindu temple, historical monument and local farm, afterwards, walk for about 40 minutes on about hundreds of steps to take in the magnificent views of the nature with lush and jungle surround. It was a bit of a challenge, but all the natural beauty of this Sekumpul waterfall pays off. After walking for an hour, you will treat by the magnificent panorama of waterfall is actually a cluster of six to seven narrow cascades falls are fed from two upland streams that form the centerpiece of a lush green bamboo forested valley. On the way back we also passing the beautiful view of rice paddy field.

12.30 pm – Hiking finish, cold mineral drink water and fresh towel provided, then continue to local restaurant for lunch.

13.30 pm – Take a rest at local restaurant and lunch

15.30 pm –  Drive back to hotel and optional to visit coffee plantation and get free test of local coffee before back to hotel

  • Be sure to bring your swimmers with you because it’s possible to go swimming in the rock pools beneath the falls.
  • Is not recommend getting directly beneath the falls as the force of water is very powerful and could potentially cause an injury.
  • During the hike you will have to cross a little river, so make sure to bring shoes that can get wet or bring watershoes or sturdy sandals. The rocks here can be slippery, so walk with full attention!

Amazing experience. The hike there is easy enough, getting back however isn't that easy. The waterfall itself though is beyond stunning and is worth the hike.
